Compatibility + Assembly and Part Recommendations
Everyone likes to know what works before ordering something. We strive to make the Eagle Chassis as customizable yet modular as possible to avoid headaches and get you out to the range. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out! Our goal here is your satisfaction with an excellent product you would recommend.
- Actions: Remington Short Action (6.50″ spacing) or Long Action (7.35″ spacing)
- Any recoil lug up to the width of the receiver (1.35″) and .49″ thick.
- Factory or external bolt release (all frames are cut to accept the factory style trigger-housing mounted bolt release, unless otherwise requested).
- 1/4″-28 x .75″ and 1.25″ long action screws, Stainless Steel (18-8PH). The counterbore is .50″ in diameter. Recommended torque is 45-50 in-lbs.
- Barrels:
- The handguard is relieved near the frame to allow for the usage of both traditional thread-on barrels and “remage” style barrel nuts.
- The handguard can accept the following profiles with > .06″ clearance (greater than the thickness of a dime).

- Sporter:
- Magazines:
- AICS Magazines – We recommend 5 and 10 round Magpul magazines due to their consistency and no need for tuning. Although any in-spec AICS magazine will work.

- Single Shot – No magazine well. We can provide a spacer plate that helps with single loading if you are using an action with the cutout for an internal magazine.

- Triggers:
- Most factory and aftermarket triggers (Remington, Triggertech, CG… send us an email if you want to confirm any particular brand or model. We will let you know if it is drop-in compatible or can modify the frame for an easy fit.)
- Compatible with standard Remington-style safeties.
- Compatible with standard Remington-style bolt-stops
- Grips
- AR compatible pistol grips.
- Dimension from stock tenon to top of grip: 3/8″
- We recommend the following for best prone-rifle ergonomics and compatibility:

- Spare Screws:
- Stock Set Screws: #10-24. Finger-tight.
- Grip Screws: 1/4″-28 x 1.25″ Stainless Steel (18-8PH). Recommended torque is 20-25 in-lbs.
- Handguard and Stock Attachment Screws: #10-24 x .375″, Stainless Steel (18-8PH). Recommended torque is 15-20 in-lbs.
- Weight: 3.9 lbs without barreled action or magazine.
- The balance point is just behind the pistol grip.

- Add stock or forearm weights to shift the balance point and overall weight.
